it took several layers to prepare the Hubble with bevels and white drop shadow to make it stand out. Nice one Rita.

Creating Composite Images using a Layer Mask www.youtube.com/watch?v=lgLkE_Rl6G8 Have you ever wanted to incorporate one image into another one? In other words create a composite image. There are various ways of doing this, however for this tutorial I have chosen to point to the video linked above because I feel it shows a good selection of ways to use a layer mask to achieve a composite image.
If you are just beginning to find out about layer masks, in my humble opinion, this would be a great place to start. You will also learn how a layer mask can be adjusted to suit. I suggest watching the video first to familiarise yourself with the technique. It’s not very long and is easy to follow. To get started:- Items required - 2 photos of choice. Good luck everyone and I look forward to seeing your results.
One request – please also show your starter images as well as your finished result.

When I saw this challenge, I assumed I would have lots of examples of doing this on scrapbook pages since scrapbooking is all about combining stuff. In looking over my stuff, I don't see that I've used this technique. LOL. Thanks for sharing the idea. Until I can work on one today, here's something I found in my stash. But, in looking it over, maybe it's not a true blending...
images from pixabayBTW - LionMan is incredible.
