I think that's what we would call Rapeseed over here in the UK Clive. The fields show bright yellow before the harvest. Lovely image with the mountains in the background. Is that a path or trail I see over to the right of the image?

Thanks BillieJean. Yes, it is called canola here. The canola being harvested here will be shipped all over the world..or the oil will be shipped all over. That "path" could be a power line or pipeline right of way. It is hard to get an uncluttered background around here and I often pass on scenery shots because of clutter. The main offender here is those #!&%$!%! unsightly, bird-killing wind turbines. I digress. The light was decent and I had to try this shot. Thanks Clive

I'm not a lover of wind turbines either...

We have thousands of acres of solar panels and I feel the same about them! Lovely photo, Clive.

The powers that be, couldn't care less about wildlife and nature, when there are 'big bucks' to be made.
That machine is a monster, Clive. I bet it makes short work of clearing the field.
Over here, the landscape looks like a patchwork quilt when the rapeseed is in full colour.
