I had noticed that space in my 2TB HDDs seemed to rapidly disappear. I figured it was on account of me always shooting RAW and also keeping a multi-layered PSD for every RAW file.
I hadn't really paid any attention to the jpegs that DxO was producing until I got to noticing some really large file sizes for a simple jpeg.
So, last night, I compared a group of image files.
I had 143 RAW and Large jpeg image captures.
I ran the CR2 RAW files through DxO Optics Pro 9 Elite.
The 143 original jpegs added up to 806 MB
The 143 CR2 RAW files weighed in at 2.55 GB
The 143 DxO jpegs stood in at 2.37 GB --- almost as big as the RAW CR2 files.
I found this discovery interesting.
