Thanks, Pete. Great share and certainly something I need to consider as I continue to try to improve my photography.

Thank you Peterj. I really liked that. Goldin's photos really are amazing. I mean nothing untoward, but her semi grunge photos seems to portray the scenes and people. They reminded me of the awful color prints we made back in the 60s and early 70s. We tried to take decent photos but had lesser gear and low (LOW!) ISO film to work with. Results were often sketchy. (Not saying we did not take good pix as well, but some were very Goldin-esque. On the other hand, Sugimoto's out-of-focus shots were too far out. I did not like those at all. This will sound a tad arrogant. We were having a discussion on FB group the other day and I misinterpreted someone's valid comment that seemed to say "the photos are not edited, therefore they are more real." I later realized he meant something different and I agreed with him. It was an aurora chasers photo group and the photos we take of aurora are inherently different than reality. I wrote: ... cameras never capture what we see. ... Photos are merely an electronic/digital presentation of something close to reality, but are never reality. So who is to say what is real? So anyway, nothing is as it seems and our photos are only an approximation. REALLY liked the video and especially liked Goldin's photos. Thanks Clive

Thanks Clive Many times I struggle with how to process my captures.
Reality is over-rated ... My "best" results are usually those when I try to impart how I felt about the subject and what drew my eye before I depressed the shutter.
