The camera never lies but the eyes certainly do - or at least the brain behind them does! Interesting how as you zoom in they change back to the real colour.

Sepiana thanks for the technical stuff...had never heard the terms before. I saw a photo of this on a website but they never offered any info and the image was poor, so I made my own in PSE.
The differences are more dramatic on a small screen and as Tony said, when blown up they look similar again.

I might have stated on this conversant forum that snow was white and that my car was resting on four round wheels. If I did, please, do not take my word for it.

I do not understand this at all. At first, I thought the stripes changed colors as they went down the page, so that affected the circle colors, but now I've looked more carefully and found the stripes never changed. Wow - can't believe a thing you see, can you. Even the stripes changed for me - with some becoming more dominant and they went down the page. HUH???
Oh wait - some stripes are in front of the circles and that affected the circle color - hmmmm
Still amazing
BTW - I just had this happen on a scrapbook page - not as dramatically, but it was noticeable. I had three lines of text and where one line was on top of another color, the text color looked different.
