Applied Bas Relief Filter to image and using the Color Dodge blend mode blended it with the original. Removed some of the Filter texture from the subject with a layer mask and then I placed an Autumn texture from Jessica Drossin on the top layer with an overlay blend mode. Image from Stocksnap.

Oh to me this is so evocative and could easily be a scene straight from one of the old Classic Period Dramas...I’m thinking of the likes of Brideshead Revisited, Pride and Prejudice, Vanity Fair and even Gone with the Wind to name but a few.

Thank you Judy and Lillias. Yes, I took the picture but it is a zoomed in view of a much larger landscape.

Stunning landscape, and great blending of texture, the background canvas effect is perfect. Did you use more than one texture?

Thanks, Jacki. I remember that I used a horizontal motion blur on one texture (2 lil owls spring paints) and then used the sandstone texture available in PS/PE. Not sure if I used any other textures.

Thanks, Jacki. I have often used the sandstone texture. It has a very subtle effect that I find very appealing.

I really like the oil paint filter. LOVE your old books and the touch of pink!

thank you, Helen. Borrowed them from our law library. They are over a hundred years old.
