Glad you found them stinson. Working with textures is a lot of fun.....if you try some, hope you'll share with us in this thread.

Helen I really like your flower arrangement image. Would this be an example of Wabi-sabi art?

Thank you, Pete. I like it, too. I am sure there are people here who might be more familiar with the term than I am. According to this quick explanation from Google it seems like it might be. It is definitely asymmetrical and aged.

Oh that boat was a great find, Dan. Where was this picture taken? Like the subtle look of the texture.

Heavenly cat - original and with texture. Applied Levels and then used a mask (on the cat) on the texture layer which was set to Multiply in Blending Mode. FYI in the Levels dialog, I have some presets choices saved as shown below as my Auto settings, and I find they make a great starting point. If you hit Option and Auto in the Levels dialog the box below comes up. Set the options below and choose set as defaults.

Used the sandstone texture on the background and masked off the flowers and foreground. Added the frame by following this tut.

More flowers and an old but favorite texture from Flypapaer textures. Creme anglaise.
