I think everyone probably knows it is coming, but it is right around the corner now. Windows 7 will no longer be supported by Microsoft as of January 14th. Windows 7 was a great operating system and I know many people don't want to give it up. However, it is time to let it go. With the ever-present risk of malware, an unpatched operating system is an open invitation to those who are up to no good. If you are still running Windows 7, I strongly encourage you to either upgrade to Windows 10 or use this as an excuse to get that new computer. Don't leave yourself exposed come the 14th.

Using an unsupported Operating System (OS) on the Internet is HIGHLY discouraged.
If your computer is not capable of upgrading to Windows 10 it can still be safely used on the Internet by replacing the OS with a version of Linux. I've been using Ubuntu on a laptop that struggled to run Win 7. There's no need to throw older PC hardware away when a new and different OS will make it functional.
Please do note that using PSE on a computer running Linux is difficult at best and many times not possible.

Thanks Andy. I think my pc may be giving up the ghost, soon. So, good excuse to get a new one. I am still mourning the loss of XP.
