Anna from Anna Aspnes Designs sent a free scrapping collection to her subscribers. Dabbling in scrapping as a result of the inspiration and information shared on this board in the past, I was determined to try out some of the very large bundle of goodies she shared. I did alter it to some extent...but the basic layout was all included in the template. So thanks Lillias and cats4jan . I have appreciated learning from the both of you.  |

Very pretty and such a good design, Helen.
What I like about templates is the 'kick start'
You never have to keep anything as the template is designed, but it seems, even if I it ends up looking so unlike the template that no one can tell I started with a template, it really helps me get moving. I like basic templates, where they are designed with what I call 'place holders' where you replace what they have, with stuff of your own, but I really like templates where I can incorporate their 'stuff' into the overall design. In that case, I choose my photos to coordinate with the template and try to use their 'stuff.'
For me, templates are such a design gift.

Thanks, Janice. I do like templates as I find trying to balance the placement of pictures quite challenging.
So every once in awhile, I may pop up here with a new attempt.
Thanks for sharing your example above showing how you rearranged the kit components.
