Early morning playing around. I won't "do anything" with this, but your suggestions are welcome. I'll probably email to some family and friends. Should the subjects be identified? If so, should the names be in the insets or should there be a legend at the bottom, sort of like a poster? Spacing and layout? Too cluttered? Background? The jpg is 2,000 pixels wide so looking at the collage at full size might be useful. Thanks, Clive

Nice! Consider placing your logo and date in the middle space and use it's current space for text identifying the pics using a layout matching the pics. Consider desaturating the background a bit

Nice collage Clive. I agree with Peter re the background, it overpowers the images a bit so perhaps consider reducing the opacity a little. For myself I would like the images to be identified. I would do this by placing the text within a corner of each individual image in plain white text. As for spacing and layout - I would probably move the middle image on the bottom row over slightly to the right. Goes without saying it’s what you think is right that counts.

All good suggestions Clive, and wonderful photos as usual. I'm sure the recipients would appreciate some identifying titles somewhere.

Thanks again for your comments. I incorporated some of your suggestions. Could fiddle for days, eh? Took a bunch of photos today, so might or might not get back to this. (Included today was a new bird and I quite like it...could put it in this collage too.)

Update looks great, Clive. Like the way you labeled your pictures.....nice representation of the desert area.

Thanks again for your comments. I incorporated some of your suggestions. Could fiddle for days, eh? Your images really stand out now, the identifying labels are perfect. IMO this portion of your project is now in the done stage ... as my biology teach wife always stated to her students "Just get it to done"

Looks good - the addition of the names was a good suggestion. I like that you dated it - I like to look back and know when the photo was taken.
I like the lighter background, but the hue of the color seems too yellow - but not necessarily a wrong choice.
"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" - and that is so true about the creative process. It's fun to seek input and try different things, but at the end of the day - you are the only one who needs to walk away happy with the outcome.
You are so right - you could play with this forever and keep changing it, but at some point, all of these creations need to see a finish line.
You have to leave time to create a new project...

Hey Clive....these would look good on a calendar - i.e. an image for each month. I do this with my images and then further personalize the calendar with birthdays and holidays. I use Photobook Canada and while it takes a bit of a learning curve, the final product looks really good.

Nice! Consider placing your logo and date in the middle space and use it's current space for text identifying the pics using a layout matching the pics. Consider desaturating the background a bit Could I just add my two pennyworth, Clive. My eye was drawn immediately to the big blank middle space. So I really agree with Peter's suggestion. Personally, I think the text would have been better in the space where the logo first was. I much prefer the first background. I think the second is insipid.

Thanks Margaret. I am of mixed mind about the background. The images do pop out more in the second one, but the pale color does not actually represent anything. That center empty spot now jumps out at me! Anyway, it is what it is. I learned a few things. Thanks Clive
