Like the way you set the smaller photo against the larger blurred background, Clive.

Thanks Helen. That is using Lillias' method from last week. Thanks Lillias Spoke to a local who said they were not blooming on Thursday but some were open on Friday.

Really like the concept - the blurred background - And you've used my favorite technique for framing -- glow around your featured photo
nit picking here --
-title is not centered and the color of title seems off for the page - And don't be afraid of using two fonts when creating a two-line title - (cursive and block usually work) it's a little hard to find two fonts that work well together, but the effect can be very cool
-your logo is too large --- I don't think of a logo as an element of a page, so it shouldn't intrude - However, to rethink my own comment - in looking it over again, I'm not sure size is what is bothering me -
To be honest, I break 'my rule' all the time - I use a cat logo and it's always an element of my page LOL

Thanks Janice. Good points. The title is not centered but aligned with the left edge of the inset image. However, its size could be smaller. Could be too large, but my mind was trying to emulate a "official" poster you might see on a website for the California poppy. The title color bugs me a bit as well. I used the color picker a couple of times in the actual flower, but I agree that it looks too yellow. Clive

It’s funny, but my eye did not lead me from the title edge to the photo edge. It should have. I often do exactly what you did - line up a title with a component of the page.
Another suggestion. How about incorporating a year in your logo, so when you look back, you will know when you completed your project.
— just noticed the year in your logo - was it always there???

just noticed the year in your logo - was it always there??? HA! Yes, been there forever. I started making a ©/initial/year stamp maybe 10 years ago .. something like that. .. only about 4 years. I make a new one every winter for the new year and then forget how to make sure the new brush stamp is saved correctly.

I can’t believe I missed it. Wow. I’m truly brain dead.
