I am missing something about the messaging on this site. Within the message text I can only include a url for an image, but when I use my DropBox the image doesn't appear.

Hi Pete,
Can you explain what exactly happens when you say when you use your DropBox the image doesn't appear? Do you mean the recipient of the message clicks on the url and the image is not displayed?

The link you sent via PM doesn't completely work for me either. It takes me to Dropbox, but it wants me to sign in to access it. Do you have the file shared via Dropbox such that anyone can view it?

Thanks Andy
When responding to a PM there's a difference in quick reply and full response.
Posting a quick reply provides the option to add image via imgbb.com; whereas a full reply only has an icon to add an image which requires a url for the image.

Posting a quick reply provides the option to add image via imgbb.com; whereas a full reply only has an icon to add an image which requires a url for the image. Yes, that is true in both PM's and the forum boards. However, we run a plugin that will auto-recognize a url for an image and embed the image. The caveat (and it is increasingly a rather big one) is that the url must end with a file extension: .jpg, .gif, .png, or .bmp. The DropBox URL has the query string after it, so that won't work. Another example - Flickr sharing options don't include the file extension. This will work in both the forum boards and PM's.
