Several members have reported redirection to inappropriate content when clicking on images posted via imgbb. Testing by the admins has confirmed this. We like the integration of imgbb into our site, and it has served us well for some time. While we are going to evaluate alternatives, we will not be disabling it at this time (and that won't prohibit anyone from using it). While occasionally a similar issue has appeared on ProBoards itself (which hosts our forum), ProBoards has been very quick to resolve the problem. We strongly recommend members: - Install an ad-blocking extension to their web browser and make sure that imgbb is one of the sites that ads are blocked on. ProBoards provides the service for free to us through the use of advertising, so we gently suggest you disable ad-blocking for ProBoards. We have contacted imgbb regarding this. Like many sites that are ad-supported, they likely subscribe to a service that provides the advertisements. It is unclear if imgbb is purposely posting the content that redirects you to other sites, or if it is coming through the ad service. Either way, blocking the ads appears to resolve the issue. If you are concerned with the use of imgbb in general, consider an alternative source to share photos. We have a list here. From ProBoards, you might also see hyperlinks that refer to "viglink". This is legitimate. ProBoards uses this as another means of earning money. Please use the Contact the Forum Admins board whenever you encounter a problem or have a concern.
