Hello Everyone. When I purchased a new computer over a year ago, I had to re-install PSE 9. I thought I had re-installed my brushes also, but alas, they are no longer there to use. Could someone remind me of the "path" to replace my brushes, Please?
Thanks in advance!

If you are on Windows, the path is -- C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 9.0\Presets\Brushes
Note: On a 64-bit OS the path will be C:\Program Files (x86)\ . . .
If you are on a Mac, the path is -- Applications\Adobe Photoshop Elements 9.0\Support Files\Presets\Brushes

Charlotte, welcome! I have PE13 and this is the location of my brushes. Program Files/Adobe/photoshop elements 13/presets/brushes ........... .abr files. If your brushes are not there, you can always do a search under Search this PC for *.abr files and then copy them over to the aforementioned directory. You may also need to reload them into PSE. I have had this happen before so I now keep a copy of my .abr files in a separate folder and copy them to a separate removable hard drive where I backup all my files (....ahaha being a bit paranoid about losing them.....) .p.s....sorry Sepiana........I must have posted just behind you and did not see you had answered

Just a little clarification.
If you install third-party brushes in the Presets/brushes folder, there is no need to also load them into Elements. When you open Elements, your brushes will be displayed in the Brushes library.

Hi Sepiana and srmoment. Thanks so much for coming to my rescue! Since my brushes tend to overwhelm PSE9 and keep disappearing, I am saving the abrs in a separate file and will load them when I need them. You are both very generous to come to my aid.
All the best,
charlotte
