ATTENTION!!! Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are facing extraordinary circumstances in our lives which may limit our photographic endeavors. Therefore, the same theme -- Name Your Theme -- will be posted every Monday for a while. This will give our members more leeway to shoot a subject for this challenge without worrying about social distancing. Keeping shooting but . . . be safe and stay healthy.Hi everyone, Would you like to participate in the Weekly Photo Challenge? Just take a photo that is your interpretation of the theme and post it in this thread. - Your photo(s) should be your own, i.e., they should not have been taken by someone else. - Photoshopping is allowed but should be kept to the basics only rather than a total transformation. - Grab your camera, experiment, and, most of all, have fun. NOTE
I am assigning no theme this week. It is your turn! Pick a theme which appeals to you, grab your camera, and capture something which will be an interpretation of the theme you chose. Also, let us know what your theme is and how your image relates to it. Have fun!

My theme for this week is "Walk About" where I'll take pics of what interests me along the way.

I'm lucky enough to live near a park with a boat launch and tiny marina, so I'll go with Sailing for the theme. Thanks for hosting this Sepiana!

My theme is "A Walk at the Farm" (yeah, I changed it up). First are old paint cans set out to dry so they can go to the landfill. Took the dog out for a walk on the family farm and took my camera with 100mm macro lens attached to play around. Saw these and figured "What the heck, might as well try it." Got down on my belly and tried some snaps.

Second photo from "A Walk at the Farm" is my dog, Miley. He's a challenge because he never stops running when we are out there, except to sniff out a hole or mark a post to stake out his territory.

My theme for this week has to be Rainbows for Health Workers. Schoolchildren's rainbow drawings hung on this school gate express support for the National Health Service and offer advice and encouragement in this time of crisis. So heartening to see. i.ibb.co/hFvFRNN/C-M.jpgDennis

Hi Helen,
Of course all our schools and universities are closed. A few, very few, remain open exclusively for the children of key workers who need to continue working. I don't know for sure, but would guess that this school, set apart as it is in parkland, is one of those special, exceptional schools.

My theme was to create a still life base to be used with textures. Took quite a few pictures but have only used one with textures so far.

Didn't have to go far to get these bird shots - they were taken out of the bedroom window. First is a grackle - my wife isn't fond of them as they scare off other birds and eat voraciously the bird seed she puts out. Normally they just look black but on a sunny day like today they do get quite colourful with an iridescent blue head and a bronze body. A common woodpecker around here is the red-bellied. An odd name for it as although it has a bit of red on its belly it's mainly red on the head - but the red-headed name had already been taken by another woodpecker. This one is a female - you can tell from her having less red on the head than the male .. Tony

My theme for this week is "Walk About" where I'll take pics of what interests me along the way. Pete, quite a variety of flora you captured. A companion to your previous "Desert Walk About" theme. Very colorful theme!
