Please tell me, was my Puzzle simply too obscure, or had most of you never heard about this song that's almost part of the history of Great Britain in WWII
I was afraid that the empty clock face would give it away at first look.
Rita I don't think so; but I'd never have guessed the answer ... makes these more fun for me!

Would it have helped if I had put a question mark on the last 2 images?
( I did give one hint that said they asked you a question to answer)
What if instead of the globes I had shown a map of Europe with a question mark? I considered that, but thought it was too easy No I don't think either of those would have helped me. Sorry. But that's not to say there was anything wrong with your puzzle just this particular puzzle solver couldn't get a handle on it.

I think it was a well thought-out puzzle. Hint: Pictures 1 and 2 express a hope or a wish. Pictures 3 and 4 sort of ask you a question and if you answer it truthfully you have the solution. Seeing it solved the clues make more sense. I can't say that I am that familiar with the song but listening to it, I'm sure I must have heard it. That being said, I don't think you really had to know of the song to solve the puzzle given your reference to Peter Sellers and WWII. What I think would be interesting for the future might be for the person who solved the puzzle to share how they arrived at the answer, as you did with Clive's. I don't think it matters so much that you arrived at the answer by analyzing it in a way that he hadn't intended. After you solved it my first thought was that the colors of the map of Australia almost contained all of the colors of the rainbow.

Does it start with Steel Mill? Nope - you’re looking for a very well known book title and think syllables instead of words.
