I activated the Snipping Tool but didn't use it. I don't see where there is any advantage over just saving an image out of Tiny Pic to My Pictures and going from there. If there is a way I'm not seeingplease inform me.
thanks dick

What I really wanted was a way to get directly from Tiny Pic to PSE edit screen with a new image awaiting the edit process. There sure is a lot of back and forth when we have to post images using a URL address. We must return the edited image to Tiny Pic and then go back and get it if we want to post it on this forum.
I being kinda slow with all of this was wondering if there was an easier way.

Press alt-printscreen with the picture as large as you can see it on your monitor. In PSE Editor New>From clipboard ? The picture will be 72dpi this way and you will have to give it a name when you save it.

I believe the Snipping tool is much like the PrtScn command; it just captures a screen shot of your file (and it does this in a more convoluted way). The Snipping tool requires you to first save your file to the desktop (JPEG, GIF, or PNG) and then bring it into Elements. The PrtScn command will enable you to open Elements and bring the screen shot in by doing File>New>Image from Clipboard.
I believe you have Elements 11. I am not sure this will help you either but . . .
In Elements 11 you can use Adobe Revel to store your images online. This service allows you to coordinate your images among your computers, iPhones, etc. If you have a Revel account, you can just access it from the Organizer's Share menu. As a side note -- Adobe has also partnered with other sites such as Facebook, Flickr, and SmugMug. All of them can be accessed via the Share tab in the Organizer.

EDIT: In a later post in this thread Craig (Major Major) shows that it is possible to skip the "saving" step when using the Snipping tool and just bring your screen shot straight into Elements (File>New>Image from Clipboard).

Actually, as soon as you use the Snipping Tool it is on the clipboard, so there's no need to save the image to the desktop.

That may be so but you can't go into the Tiny Pic Host site and use the Snipping Tool can you,,,, and turn right around and open it up in PSE as one action? ?? That's the big concern I have. dick

The Snipping Tool works on pretty much anything visable on your screen, except for certain drop-down menus and such.

I am curious. Are you saying we don't need to save the screen shot (JPEG, GIF, etc.) when we use the Snip tool? How do you do that? I don't see this option. I always thought this was the big drawback of this tool, one which people complain about. You need to save the "snip" to your computer first. Then, you open it in Elements.

Sepiana -
Yes, that's correct. Try it: do a snip without saving (don't close the snipping tool), then open PSE and choose new from clipboard.
