I believe in an earlier version of PSE that the Filter/Stylize/Wind effect that I could increase or decrease the effect when applied say to the tail section of an aircraft in flight. In PSE12 I no longer have the increase/decrease option. Does any member know of an action that I could download to regain that capability? Thank you

Hi batterup55 I've just tested the Wind filter in PSE6, PSE10, PSE2020, and PS CS6 - the dialogs look the same (no adjustment sliders).

Hi batterup55,
My experience is similar to Andrei's. I don't see that option in the Wind filter dialog either. I checked PSE 7, PSE 10, and PSE 11 through PSE 2020. I also checked PS CS5, CS6, and PS 2020.

In lieu of any other suggestions you could take your image into Guided edits and under Fun Edits try the Speed Effect. It takes a bit of practice using this effect but it might just do the trick for you. Sorry I don’t have any other suggestions.

Using Guided Edits>Fun Edits>Speed Effect is a good idea. Unfortunately this feature is not available in the PSE version the OP has. Adobe introduced it in PSE 14. What's new in Photoshop Elements 14

batterup55,
I'm wondering if you are thinking of the Motion Blur filter (Filter>Blur>. . .). This filter offers two adjustment sliders.
Angle -- Adjust the angle of the blur to match the motion direction of your subject. Distance -- Set the length of the blur streaks.
