The Red Shoes got around quite nicely last week; thank you Helen! This week I am thinking you will have to work a bit harder, but expect nothing but the best in response to this shattered starter image:

I agree with Tom, Lillias. I especially like that you have altered it to look like we are on the inside of the window. I also like the shards of broken glass that you have added. I seemed to have an old building that would work well with this window. May have to give this another try.

Thank you kindly Tom.
Thank you too Helen. Looks like the vandals have been at work on that beautiful building of yours.

Tried one more and followed Lillias' idea for some falling pieces of glass......background image is mine.

Very nice integration of the challenge image with the building Helen! The tonal balance is also well done.

Thanks for your contribution Frank! I find it clever and unsettling, but keep coming back to it.
I like sepiana's juxtaposition of fragile and broken.

Here is my first response to this challenge. I used to host a weekly music event for local musicians. Because of the health concerns I have had to cancel 12 scheduled events so far, with no end in sight. The toll has been extensive, on all scales. Shattered. Broken.

I like the way you incorporated both meanings of "shattered" into your post, Tom.
I hadn't recognized the juxtaposition in Sepiana's image until you pointed it out.
Rita, it's interesting to see how you fashion clothing out of recent challenges.

Rita, it's interesting to see how you fashion clothing out of recent challenges. Probably because I couldn't think of anything more interesting. It's easy to do with just about any kind of starter image.
