Thanks all. They are very pretty. And now the rest of the story. Note the dead branch perch. There is always a nesting pair of bluebirds somewhere along the the perimeter fence of our summer place...there are several nesting boxes attached to fence posts. Shooting birds on fences posts is okay but not "natural." So many years ago I attached a dead branch to a fence post by a nesting box. Last evening when driving by this bluebird was on that perch..the first one I've see on the perch in all these years!! And this male sat there for 2 or 3 minutes and allowed me to take a few pix from only 25 feet away. Clive
