I recently bought Premier Elements 13 and installed Revel, but Revel import is missing from the Organiser Import dropdown. Any suggestions? I think I read that it is only available with Premier Elements. I think I installed a trial version of standard Elements 13 first, but I have the full Premier Elements 13 installed now and the video editor works.

Hi Mike, welcome to PSE&M! I am sorry but I am a bit confused. There is no such a thing as a standard version and a premier version of Elements. Here is the scenario. Adobe offers two programs -- Photoshop Elements (usually referred to as Elements) and Premiere Elements. The former is a photo-editing program; the latter is a video-editing program. They are two independent programs; they can be purchased individually or as a combo. The above explains why this happened to you -- I think I installed a trial version of standard Elements 13 first, but I have the full Premier Elements 13 installed now and the video editor works. There is no video editor in Elements. The video editor is available in Premiere Elements.
As to Adobe Revel -- I have Elements 13; Revel is available in it. I am not a user of Premiere Elements. So, I don't really know about it and Revel.
We don't have a Premiere Elements board in this forum. However, I think we have some members who do use this program. They may be able to help you. However, if you need expert help with Premiere Elements and you need it fast, I strongly suggest you post in the Adobe Premiere Elements forum.

Hi Sepiana. Thanks for your advice. I'll post on the forum you suggested. I figured that there is only one version of Elements organiser. As I understand it, standard Elements comes with Organiser and the photo editor. Premier Elements also includes the video editor. It's just that I remember seeing a post about the Revel import facility only being available with Premier Elements, but that doesn't seem to tie in with there only being one version of Organiser so maybe it was wrong. Whatever, my Organiser with V13 doesn't contain any mention of Revel, either in the Import dropdown of the Help section. I also note that "Sign in to Online Account" on the File menu is greyed out which seems suspicious.

The information below may explain what is going on. NOTE: This applies to Photoshop Elements 13 (the photo-editing program). I don't know if it is the same way in Premiere Elements 13 (the video-editing program).
When you first launch the Organizer in Photoshop Elements 13, you will also need to sign in to your Adobe Revel account or create a new one. Once you do this, Elements will connect and display your photos on Revel. This is not the same sign-in you do when you first install Photoshop Elements 13; it is an additional one. You can use the same Adobe ID for both sign-ins or you can create a new one just for your Revel account.
To sign into Revel or to create a new account, in the Organizer, go to File>Sign in to Online Account. Then, log in with your existing Adobe ID or click on "Create an Adobe ID" to make a new one.
Here is the Help file for Premiere Elements 13. Hopefully it will help.

I am signed in to my Revel account. I also think I am signed in in Elements. However, 'Sign in to Online Account' in Organiser is greyed out, possibly because I am already signed in? I did find that I had not registered Elements 13 photo editor, but I've now registered that and it works but no Revel in Organiser. I wonder if it's got anything to do with having initially loaded a trial version, which maybe doesn't allow Revel access. But I don't know how to get rid of the trial version of Organiser, which ran much longer than the 28 days. I had a real problem moving all my photos from Photoshop Album on PC (XP) to Mac, it took months to sort it out, but Organiser V11 and V13 just kept running and I hadn't bought a registration at that time. Not sure how I can uninstall Organiser and reinstall it, if that's the problem.

I may be wrong but I don't think you can uninstall only the Organizer. You have to uninstall the whole program, either Photoshop Elements or Premiere Elements. As the problem seems to be with Premiere Elements and Revel, I strongly suggest you post in the Adobe Premiere Elements forum. You could also contact Adobe -- www.adobe.com/about-adobe/contact.html

Hi Sepiana.
Problem solved!! possibly with the help of the guys on the Adobe Community forum. This evening (in UK) I took an iPhone photo and imported it into the Revel app. It instantly appeared in the Revel app on my Macbook Air, but nothing in Organiser. Then I noticed a rotating wagon wheel just to the left of the green + on the Mobile Albums line. When hovered over this indicated that it was downloading hundreds of updates. It took hours. Finally the photo appeared automatically in the correct album. There is apparently no requirement for a manual Import from Revel option in V13. I'm wondering whether the agonisingly slow download is due to some lost connections. I'll get round to reconnecting them. Not sure why an almost new installation should loose connections though. Many thanks for your help.
