Thanks for those very interesting translations Clive, I do like the sound of Poutine though, I would probably add bacon just to make it that little bit more decadent.
Does anyone know what Tim Tams are I wonder, they would go very well with a Timmies.

Just have to jump in here because I just read this sentence in my book....."The sort of diner where Mom and Dad and drug-dealer son could share a poutine together."!!! And because of this whacky thread I know what a poutine is....

Poutine sounds like something I would really enjoy. Jacki’s idea of adding a bit of bacon to the dish sounds great too.
Tim Tams - Covering all my options I would guess if they would go with a Timmies they must be some sort of cookie, biscuit or cake perhaps!
