I have seen many photos on other forums that show "Stacked Photos" and I think I would like to try to learn how to do this. I am guessing stacking is not possible within Photoshop Elements (I have PSE 2020)
What actions would I need to add to Elements?, how much of a learning curve is there to learn how to stack?, are there any video tutorials showing the steps needed to do stacking?
Is there any software that will do stacking by itself not associated with Photoshop that would be easy to learn to use?
I learn better (generally) from video than written tutorials.
Thank you all!

The best results are obtained when the images to be stacked are identically framed. I use Element+ for stacking and I believe it's script performs an auto align operation prior to the actual blending.

Thank you Sepiana! I have used Elements+ a few times and they seem to always work very well! Thank you for contacting Andrei for my question. Looking forward to what he has to say!

Charles, If you meant "Focus Stacking", Sepiana said it all.
This technique is usually used in macro photography to increase depth of field. However, loading multiple image files into stack may be also used for some other things, e.g., manipulations, animation, star trails, etc.. If you meant one of those, please, specify.

Hello Andrei, I have heard of "stacking" for a long time and have seen results in other peoples photos from doing stacking, but I never paid that much attention to what type of photo they used stacking on. Sorry but I really do not know what to specify here. I do have one macro lens, it is the Sigma 17-70 so it does not really magnify that much. I have not really done that much macro work with that lens. Maybe I am out of my league on this one.........
