Am running iMac desktop OSX 10.13.6. Within my hard drive there is a Font Book. It has lots of fonts I would like to use in my photo books, but I seem not to have access to them via Photoshop Elements. In fact, I am very tired of the choices I have access to in PSE19. It's the same ones I have had to use over many years now. I keep downloading fonts to the Font Book but it's useless because I need to be able to use them when creating pages in PSE.
I'm assuming and hoping there is something I don't know here. Just downloading more fonts isn't working. They need to be compatible with PSE.
Thank you for any suggestions. l need to move on with these photo books.

Lets backup a few seconds. The fact that they are in font book may not mean much.
Can you use the font's in question in your email or a word processor? Do you have permission to use the fonts on your computer with other programs? In font book are these fonts in the User tab? Are they shown in a light gray color? Is it possible some of the fonts are corrupted? Re-downloading them may make the situation much worst. Are the fonts open type or true type?
I am running MAC OS X 10.15.5 with elements 2019 and can select hundreds of different fonts and can't say I have ever had a problem with them.

Hi Font Book’s purpose is for installing, deleting and organizing fonts. In PSE to select a font, you use the Text Tool.

In Elements as Pete stated you use the Text tool to select and the font and adjust as needed.
