I took a look at this before on my phone, Pete. I think you did a wonderful job! It is well-researched and the photos included are excellent examples. I found it very interesting reading as I know very little about humming birds and never realized there were so many different kinds. The only thing I might consider changing....BUT it looks might be a detail that you wanted to include from the location.....would be the banner introducing the page. If you wanted to I think you could come up with a more interesting title logo for the page.

I would love to be able to see hummingbirds in the wild, looking through your nature journal was a real treat. Are they normally wary birds or can you get quite close to photograph them? Their colours are quite vibrant and this came through in your photos.

Peter Very nice. Good info and photos. Somewhat like Helen, I'd change the front-page layout. To my eye, it's a tad tight and could have wider margins and possibly move the front-page photos inside the text. You might consider columns for the front page. Still, it's a nice brochure. Clive

Thank you Helen ... I'm working on a a template for future pages and found our scrap booking section useful. Thank you, glad you enjoyed seeing them. As a general rule one needs a somewhat long lens to effectively capture these small, fast moving birds. They're not overly skittish but do move from feeding place to feeding place quickly. As for most birds they don't have a sense of smell.
You're most welcome, glad you enjoyed them. I'm using some of your ideas on digital scrap booking to make my next pages a bit less sterile.
Thanks for your comments Clive. Columns are in the works.

Thank you for sharing, Pete. Your journal made interesting reading. I have never seen a humming bird, your excellent images show what beautiful, colourful birds they are.

Thanks Peter. Nice presentation. Good background texture. Generally, an airy, open layout. Love hummingbirds and we rarely see them. Clive
