Annoyingly I can't get Silver Efex to work as a plug in to Luminar yet, as I did within Lightroom. Alex, I believe this functionality was broken sometime ago due to either a Nik Collection update or to a Luminar update; I'm not sure which one. Fortunately, this problem was fixed. If you have Luminar 4 (with the latest update -- 4.3.0.), this should work. (It does for me!) 1. Go to Edit>Plugins>Other 2. Select Silver Efex from the menu that pops up. From now on, when you launch Luminar 4, Silver Efex will be available -- Edit>Plugins>Silver Efex.

Thanks for trying Sepiana. Yes, it should be easy, but when I do Edit > Plugins > Other > Open Plugin it opens the navigation box as you would expect. I go to Applications and see that the Nik Collection folder is highlighted but all the individual applications are greyed out, so I cannot select any of them. I am on Luminar 4.3.0. Maybe I need to update my Nik Collection, which are all dated March 2016. I'll look into it as you say there is the prospect of success. Cheers.

Alex, you are most welcome! Glad to help.
Maybe that's the problem -- you need to update your version of the Nik Collection. I have the current version -- v.3.

My version of Silver Efex Pro 2 is version 2.2.24.10 x64 (v1.2.11). I think this is the last free version, so to fix this I would need to move to the paid version 3, which I hadn't planned doing as my current version works well for me (except for this inability as a Luminar plug-in). I'll just have to decide whether I want to spend £125 to do this or to stick with my 'export and then open in the application' workaround. As always, I guess you don't get something for nothing.
