I have a problem in matching the output from my computer screen with the output from my Epson R3000 printer. My screen is calibrated regularly and I have the correct ICC file. • - I realize that Elements+ is an Add-on and not an Adobe product but I was hoping some-one could give me some help. The Manual seems to stop short.
• Having imported the image into the Soft Proof space and selected my "Device to simulate" and clicked "OK" to apply the changes, I am then :
• unable to display a "before & after" view for comparison ( In Photoshop you can ).I use the preview but this is very "hit & miss". • not sure whether the original file has now been altered to reflect the changes and whether this has been saved and has replaced the original image file. ( if this is the case I should have worked on a copy ) It does not appear to change the file name. • not sure whether the image now displayed in the Elements Editor is the Soft Proof version or my original file. A detailed workflow would be great. I have tried to contact Elements help or Andrei Doubrovski, with no success, I must be doing something wrong. Possibly someone could point me in the right direction. I seem to have created bullet points all over the place.

Hi popcorn , welcome to PSE&M! You came to the right place for all things Elements. The creator of Elements+ is a member here -- Andrei Doubrovski . I've sent him a PM bringing this thread to his attention. Hang in there!

Hi popcorn, I'm the author of Elements+. * To compare "before" and "after" views, please, consider the the following suggestions: - Uncheck/check the "Preview" gadget in the "Soft Proof" dialog, - or duplicate the original image (File > Duplicate) - for (a bit larger) live preview, use the "Navigator" panel (Window > Navigator) ** The soft proofing doesn't change the image file. It just affects the document view in the PSE window ONLY during the current editing session. If you close and immediately re-open an image it's displayed normally.
Tip: To see how it works, play with some B&W profile, e.g., "Dot Gain 20%".

Hi Andrei,
Thank you, you are the very person I was hoping to get a response from.
I have had Elements+ for some time and am finding something new each time I use it. It make such a difference to Elements editing. I really missed a Soft Proof option and now I have one!!!
