How to auto-import from phone?

Samsung note 9 and windows 10. I'm able to hook up either camera to usb and PSE 2020 begins an auto-import. When I hook up my phone (camera), it starts autoimport, but just hands with message "connecting to device please wait"..no messages or prompts on phone...I can see the folders\files in windows explorer and drag them from phone to computer manually, so there is communication between phone and computer....anyone else have / solve this issue?
My goal is to autoimport files under roger'snote\phone\dcim from phone to computer like it does with my cameras.
