I don't know how it happened, but the margins are wider than they used to be. How do I move them nearer to the edge. I tried moving the markers where the numbers are. But they would not budge.

To change your margins in WordPad open it and click on File and from the drop down menu choose Page Setup. There you will see various options for changing how your page is set up. Hope this helps Margaret.

This little exchange delighted and warmed me. Why? Because our members feel comfortable asking questions not related to PSE. Why? Because we know we are here to help each other, that we will not be mocked or belittled. So what happened? A question is posted 7 hours ago, and an answer was offered 7 hours ago! Such a small exchange that spoke volumes and filled my heart.

I had a few questions about a browser that I needed help with; my internet searching was not helping find the answers, so I joined their discussion forum and posted my questions. Never in my life have I ever been so belittled and flamed for asking a few simple questions; it seems that at least three "regulars" on that site are just there to make others wish they had stayed away; I know that is the way I felt = not welcome at all. I am very thick-hided and don't allow such to worry me, but I will avoid that place from now on and am thinking seriously of removing their browser. That little exchange sure made me appreciate this site. After my experience with that site, I can well understand why so many will visit sites and never join = they wish to avoid such conflicts.

It really doesn’t cost anything to be pleasant with one another and which of us hasn’t needed help at some time. I know I have been grateful myself for help from others and probably will be again whenever my next problem arises! Lol.

What a lovely comment, Tom.
This is why I love being here so much. I am never treated like the idiot I sometimes feel when I ask, what to others, may be the simplest questions.
Thank you, Lillias. Me being 'thick' again. I had been looking in the wrong places. I only use 'File' for saving a document. But those instructions are the same as I had used in the past. It must have been on Windows 7.
