Thank you to everyone who posted an image in the forum and to everyone who has taken the time to look at shared images. Your participation in this humble and friendly image of the week (IOW) feature is much appreciated. This time I took a different approach by deciding on the basis of a wild guess from my part on what I thought the intention behind the considered image was. I did so under the principle according to which once an image is thrown out there, it becomes wide open to subjective interpretation. My criteria were the originality of the initial idea, the level of difficulty and my appreciation of the extent to which I thought the initial intention had been met. As usual, I cruelly chose no more than three images, two special mentions and one IOW. The special mentions Black and White Double Exposure in Camera, by adobeman i.ibb.co/ykB5938/PA090486.jpgIt may very well be that the exact result was not known when this project started, but if so, there still was an original idea and most probably a moment where the author thought “O.K., this is the take I will work with to bring it to an end”. It was very well done, with plenty of good choices made from the capture of the image to the post-processing, the positioning of the elements, the square format and the tonal contrast among others. Puddle bath!, by srmoment i.ibb.co/cTYjgSL/OLYMPUS-DIGITAL-CAMERA.jpgI do not know if birds can have fun, but this one looks like it was having a lot of it. For sure, this bird is having a nice bath and it is exactly what the image is showing. In a certain way, this could be considered as an action shot, with a spirit, well transmitted. Image of the week Watercolor of sunflowers on a truck, by PeteB i.ibb.co/2dyyw30/truckflowers.jpgAlthough there is no one in this image, it is full of joy and humanity. What would be the purpose of delivering flowers if not to bring comfort and share happiness? To have spotted this scene is already of great value. The way it has been isolated and rendered evokes simple and authentic emotions. The smooth pastel look, even though in hard light, the meticulous framing and the delicate water colour effect all contribute to the message.

Maurice, the thoughtful commentary you post along with your selections is always so interesting to read. Congratulations to Adobeman and Pat for having their work chosen. Special congrats to Pete for his fine watercolor. It also caught my attention. I had asked Pete how he created his image and he said it was based on this video .
