I don't know what I did or how I did it. Here's the scenario: I installed PSE on my wifes computer a couple of weeks ago so I could use it while my Box of Rocks went thru some changes. Now that shouldn't be an issue normally but now every image on her machine opens up in the PSE Editor when you click on it. In my experience with PSE and computers this has never happened to me. First let me ask if this is a Win 8.1 thing,,,, if so I'll just delete PSE before she gets up in the morning and nothing more will be said about it. If however I did something to cause this and she wants to attach an image to an email and she clicks on it and the PSE editor pops up on the screen she is going to be mad at YOU.  Whats the answer and fix? dick |

Dick,
Go to any photo, right-click on it and choose Open with then Choose default program. When the dialog box comes up choose how you want your photos to open (mine is set to Windows Photo Viewer) and make sure 'Always use the selected program to open this kind of file' box is checked.

Okay thanks Bayla,that fixed it ,,,,she is really going to think I'm so smart when I tell her what happened and how I figured it out. |

Glad you sorted it cos I just panicked & realised I'd given you Windows 7 instructions....it's slightly different for Windows 8.
