I currently have three browsers --- well four if you want to count Internet Explorer --- Chrome, Firefox, and Pale Moon.
Up until just a few days ago, Chrome has been my favorite.
Both Firefox and Pale Moon worry me to death about new updates; if I give in and install the latest update, it won't be but minutes before they start hounding me again (if there is a way to turn this behavior off, I have not found it)
While both do have some desirable attributes, neither Firefox nor Pale Moon have proven dependable enough to me to become my main browser.
Then, a few days ago, Chrome went straight down the drain, in performance, dependability, and behavior on the machine, plus eliminating all ad blocking and bombarding every page with ads, prompting me to seek an alternative.
From what I am seeing, Brave may be my best option; I have downloaded it, but am not going to install it until I get some input and recommendations from those who are already using it.
Are any of you familiar with Brave and can provide any input ?
Thanks for reading and all help is appreciated.

I tried Brave but didn't really care for it. It seemed too "uncustomizable" with a limited number of options. I use Vivaldi - have for a few years. It is very reliable, well-behaved and doesn't crash. Here's the link --> vivaldi.com

That could be a problem with Chrome and possible a malware infection of some form. I wouldn't just ignore this and move to another browser.
