Hi, I am following the video shown in the lik below. I am using PSE 9 I have noticed a few differences most probably because the host is using another PSE version later than 9. So need some assistance please if there is a workaround or wher do i need to put a tick in the box etc www.youtube.com/watch?v=gtabUg_Aow0&feature=youtu.beAt 2:31 he advises how to snap cloud background to other photo. In my PSE the cloud doesnt snap put justy glides over & past the edges of the photo below. In the settings View Snap To Grid is greyed out But also ticking Guides makes no difference. At 4:33 he selects a an unwanted part of the image & selects subtract from selection.I do not have this option.

See if this will work in PSE 9. - Go to View > New Guide. - Use these settings: Orientation = Horizontal, Position = 0 inch. - Turn on Snap To > Guides. - Slide the sky photo up. The New Guide is placed on the top edge of your document. When you slide the sky up, it will snap to the top edge of the photo below. It will be something like Snap To > Document Bounds. "Subtract from Selection" is the third button on the Tool Options bar.

When using any of the normal selection tools, you can also hold either the ALT or the SHIFT key to switch back and forth between Add To and Subtract From. Shift Key = Add To ALT Key = Subtract From

Hi ipbr21054,
In the video he states the two images are the same width, and that is why the snap works. If you are dragging in a larger or small size sky file you will need to transform it to fit - it does not miraculously snap to the correct size. You can use the Transform tool (ctrl+t) to resize it.
