November 1, 2020. About 40,000 to 50,000 snow geese on a reservoir about 40 minutes from our house. This link should take you to a wide, 15-shot pano showing most (not all) of the geese today. Enlarge the image and use the slider to drag the image back and forth. Not the sharpest as it was super windy and focusing was difficult because of heat waves...after being cold last week, it was warm today at 20°C .. but windy.

Quite a sight.....you captured it well. The number is hard to imagine.....the pano helps.

Thanks. This event in spring and fall is always a treat to see and makes for a fun day. BTW, I sampled and counted the photo posted (vs the linked image) and estimate there are 1,700 geese (+/-) in this photo, so my estimates of 40,000 to 50,000 in total are probably conservative. Hope to get back later in the week or next week. Clive
