Hi everyone, Would you like to participate in the Weekly Photo Challenge? Just take a photo that is your interpretation of the theme and post it in this thread. - Your photo(s) should be your own, i.e., they should not have been taken by someone else. - Photoshopping is allowed but should be kept to the basics only rather than a total transformation. - Grab your camera, experiment, and, most of all, have fun. NOTE Grab your camera and look for a subject (or subjects) with many different colors. The more colors the better! Put yourselves in a rainbow mood. Happy Color Hunting!

Put yourselves in a rainbow mood. Happy Color Hunting! Please excuse me as I know this probably doesn’t exactly fit the Challenge but it is a rainbow!!! It just so happens that I took this photo yesterday morning at the back of our house. I was excited to get it before the rainbow disappeared. It’s such a shame that the surrounding sky was so dismal but then the weather as a whole isn’t too great here at the moment.

My wife is a quilter and has an embroidery machine ... this is just part of one of three thread racks!

After a quick look around the house I came up with these pieces from Blokus.....a board game that provided hours of fun with the grandkids when they were younger.

Hope this is acceptable for Colors. Not a bunch, but certainly colorful. This was taken in Columbus, Indiana a town famous for its architecture.

Assorted books off my shelves and arranged by Roy. G. Biv ... bonus points for figuring out that.

Virtually all of my wife's quilted goods (mainly actual quilts) are donated to "community quilts" (senior lodges, families in need, etc) and to the regional hospital. Every year she makes ~50 quilted stockings for hospital patients. Today, she boxed up 40 stockings for a psychiatric ward in a hospital about 45 minutes from our home. I am always charged with photographing her goods before shipping so she has reminders of her donations over the years. Quilted Christmas stockings photographed today, November 24, 2020.

Her stockings are beautiful, Clive. A lovely donation that I am sure will be appreciated. I do see quite a few different colors in that case, Jim. Bet it's a fun hobby. Years ago someone gave me a packet of home-made envelopes. They were fun to use when the kids were young. I still have quite a few left and haven't had any use for them in recent years until today......

Some very impressive colours from everyone. I had to create some with some plastic knives and forks, a laptop or tablet screen and a polarizer filter on the camera. If you've never tried it it's a fun indoor project. Most plastics will work (they are birefringent) and most computer displays are polarized. Tony

If you are interested in this technique, you may want to check the thread below. It explains in detail how to achieve this effect. Playing with polarised light

Thank you Sepiana Very interesting! Blatantly copying tonyw 's idea. Thanks Tony. Quite fun. A drafting/quilting French curve laying atop a white tablet screen.
