At present I have an old (2012) HP Pavilion with 2.70 gigahertz Intel Pentium G630 and 8GB (DIMM 1 4BG and DIMM3 4GB) of memory and ATI Radeon HD 4300/4500 Series [Display adapter]; this card runs Eizo S2243W [Monitor] and DELL E2011H [Monitor].
The Dell has i3-1005G1 also with 8GB (DDR4)memory with shared graphics.
I would like to retire the HP and connect the Eizo S2243W [Monitor] as the graphics screen; I believe I can get an HDMI to DVI cable to connect the Eizo to the laptop (or use a docking station - any advice on these please?). The Dell monitor will be retired.
I trust I will find no loss in performance doing this; may even be better?
Has anyone any advice or tips for going down this route?
Next I need to get a Docking station that allows my laptop screen to be expanded across the Eizo as well.

Comments seem to suggest it will cope. Anyone tried this or any other Docking station to expand a laptop screen across an additional monitor?
