Had to take some moon photos last night as it was perfectly full. I am never satisfied with moon my photos ... never as crisp as I'd like. Still ... 1/800s ƒ/11 ISO200 600mm

Possibly there's atmospheric disturbance contributing to the crispness you desire. There's a way to overcome that by exposing a series of shots and stacking them in Photoshop or PSE with Elements+. The stacking of raw files also has the advantage of bringing out the colors in the moon.I found the colors (mineral moon) very interesting ... if you capture a series of 20 or so 1 sec apart Photoshop can align the layers and median stack them.
