I thought green tomatoes were unripe red tomatoes, but I just found out:
"There are two types of green tomatoes, those that are green when fully ripe, and yes, unripe red tomatoes"
I've never had fried green tomatoes - although I've often heard of them.

Do green tomatoes taste the same as red ones? Perhaps my title was misleading, probably should have read unripe tomatoes as I'm expecting these to go red before I pick them, or the birds get to them first....

Do green tomatoes taste the same as red ones? Sort of a different taste. Fried green tomatoes are delicious! jackscrap are those in your yard or greenhouse? Clive, these tomatoes are growing outside in my yard, no greenhouse, though I'm seriously thinking of erecting some netting over the plot to keep out the birds and other pests.

Never realized you had a greyhound, Jacki! Neither did I. Whippet will love this when she sees it.

Never realized you had a greyhound, Jacki! Yes, this is BB, we've had her for seven years now, she turned 9 last August. We adopted her from GAP, which stands for Greyhound Adoption Program. She probably never raced, her papers indicate that she didn't have a 'racing name', probably a bit on the small side or more probably she has the attention span of a gnat... She's a great pet, sleeps a lot, loves her daily walks and is very friendly and affectionate, except with cats.... I'm sure I've posted photos of her in the forum before, she doesn't mind being a model, knows how to lay still etc.

Lol she looks very comfortable. I would love some chicken. They eat ticks. But our labs would want to retrieve them so that would not work

Day 18 - This was taken in Cairns, Queensland inside a large bird aviary. This macaw took a fancy to the button on top of this man's cap!

Posting a day early, will be out all day... Photo taken 2016.
Day 19 - Giant sea clam, outer reef, Great Barrier Reef, Queensland. Was lucky enough to be able to hire a camera with underwater housing, this was probably one of my clearest photos.

Jacki - I've enjoyed all your photos, but the sea clam is my favorite - such colors and clarity
