Day 43 - Lighthouse keepers cottage. We are home early from our holiday, our State Premier has decided to lockdown the whole state again for only 5 days due to Covid 19 outbreaks in Melbourne, the fact that we were over 8 hours away from Melbourne doesn't seem to count. I am not happy!!! However there are positives, access to my PC and decent internet connections again, now able to download my photos for a better look, and I did miss my sons just a little bit too. Plus the Australian Open tennis is still going ahead, now without any fans in the audience, but I do love to watch the tennis on the TV with a wine in hand and a tasty snack or two... live.staticflickr.com/65535/50937588037_971121db91_k.jpg

Sorry your trip was cut short, Jacki. But sounds like you are good at looking on the bright side. Now to your picture.......what a perfect location for some photography. It also looks like a place where I could have easily broken my neck in an attempt to get down closer to the shore.

Most unfortunate Jacki. You Aussies have the virus well in hand and always have because of smart and firm restrictions. Good on ya. Five days are nothing! Had to laugh! "I do love to watch the tennis on the TV with a wine in hand and a tasty snack or two..." You just described my wife at 4 PM every day. She PVRs AO tennis (all tennis) and watches the videos the next day here. She watches on and off throughout the day. I should note that she only has one glass of wine at 4 PM. Hope you are able to maintain your daily posts. Clive

It also looks like a place where I could have easily broken my neck in an attempt to get down closer to the shore. It's certainly a wild and rough coastline, many shipwrecks out there in the deep, as for getting down to the rocks I don't think I'd like to try either. There is a cemetery plot behind the houses where all the crew of one particular vessel are buried, dates from the 1850's? I took a lot of photos with my Ipad, which was handy for my daily post, the internet service at Mallacoota was a bit hit and miss, now that I'm home I'll be ready to join in a bit more. Graves belong to the passengers from the Ly Ee Moon, 1886.

Well Clive, I do keep myself to only one glass a day, but I make sure it's a really large wineglass! As for keeping ahead of this *^&%#%%* virus, apparently we now have the faster spreading UK strain of it in the country hence the Stage 4 lockdown again, 5 days will just be the beginning, and I know that it will soon turn into something a lot longer, but after enduring over 100 days in lockdown it seems doable. I just feel very sorry for the businesses that are going under, there's no certainty anymore.

It's tough on so many people and businesses. I feel for the young ones and those just starting out with new businesses that could fail. Something will rise from the destruction. Two Canucks are still in the Open: Felix Auger Aliassime and Milos Raonic. Your Aussie, Kyrgios, is always good for high entertainment. I watch very little, but get reports and have seen his antics a few times. Enjoy the AO and stay safe. Just one glass a day, eh?

I have one of those glasses! I wouldn’t see much tennis if I used it though... as for Mr Kyrgios, entertaining is a polite way to describe his antics, brilliant at times but I am in two minds about his commitment to playing at the top level, tries too hard to make it look easy. On the other hand I have always loved watching Milos play, keeps his emotions very much under control.

My wife feels exactly the same thing about Kyrgios ... hot and cold. Plays well. Too much theatre at times.

Love this one, Jacki! Do you know if it was created by random people or is it the work of one person?

Hard to say Helen, the pebbles come from a stretch of beach just around the corner (aptly named Pebbly beach) from this rocky outcrop, so I guess it's probably a joint effort by all who pass by and feel the need to fill in a space. i.ibb.co/vQ5dk9Z/DSC00053.jpg
