I recently began using Photoshop Elements 2021. I have an old book (2011) on Elements 9.
I was considering purchasing a new book for Elements 2021. But then I thought about it. With so many Guided Edits in the 2021 version, there is little need for an instruction book that costs from $30 to $40.
The main thing many of us need help on is the file structure, catalog characteristics, save, backup, moving files around (avoid!) etc. more than edit technique which is well covered in the Guided Edits.
Does this match your experience?

Your old book is a good basis, but your friend is Mr Google.

gfmucci, Adobe did a major overhaul of PSE back in v11. If I had to suggest a book, I would go for The Missing Manual by Barbara Brundage. Unfortunately this series stopped publication with the edition for PSE 13. Fortunately most of the basic information in it still applies to PSE 2021 (much more than the book you have). Its slogan says it all -- "The book that should have been in the box". Google is very helpful but I would trust Adobe Help more. Get help straight from the source!!! Hi gfmucci , I would strongly recommend to download asap the last PDF versions of the guide for Elements and the Organizer. If I am not mistaking, they are for version 18. “Adobe Elements Organizer Help”, version 18, PDF document (193 pages): helpx.adobe.com/pdf/elements-organizer_reference.pdf “Adobe Photoshop Elements Help”, version 18, (371 pages): helpx.adobe.com/pdf/photoshop-elements_reference.pdf You can also find the specific pdf guides for versions 14 to 8 : Archived pdf help documents for versions from 14 to 8, Elements organizer: helpx.adobe.com/ca/elements-organizer/archive.html Archived pdf help documents for versions from 14 to 8, Photoshop Elements: helpx.adobe.com/ca/photoshop-elements/archive.html Tips, and sound advice, from michelb , at the Adobe Support Community: One tip I learnt recently from a senior ACP: Since searching in the 'Search' feature of this forum often fails, it's much faster to use Google or similar search engine to find an official help file or troubleshooting paper from Adobe. You include 'helpx' in your search. For instance you enter: helpx, Elements, slideshows... To find in this forum, enter forums.adobe.com, Elements, slideshows With the search tool in the pdf help file, you can find easily any word. For instance to find features present in Windows and not in Macs, search for 'Windows only'

Finding side by side in the same thread a dog and a cat (both very nice) having such a peaceful and serene discussion around the concept of mutual help shows how friendly this PSE&M community can be!

I primarily use Google because I no longer have an up-to-date book, but I've always preferred the written page. Glad to hear you've found a book to help you with the Organizer. I need the Organizer, but I don't want to learn to use it.
I'm finding my ability to learn new things is pretty much going, going, soon-to-be gone...
