you don't spit in the wind;
you don't pull the mask off the old Lone Ranger;
and, you don't mess around with HIM !!!
Notice the debris in the air, in the first pic, slung there by that right foreleg.
He was rapidly shaking his head side-to-side and wringing his tail.
You can't hear it in the picture, but he was exhaling through his nostrils, sharp and loud.
This guy is Dangerous with a capital D; he could kill you in a heartbeat.
