Z is for Zombie Way before Fear the Walking Dead, Zombies roamed the early 50's Movies. For some reason, I distinctly remember going to the local theater with my brothers to see this movie. (the theater was within walking distance, so we often went by ourselves). I even remembered its title. It's not because I was scared by the theme, it was because I was intrigued by all the monster movies. Still am.

I didn't see that one Janice but I remember my mother taking my sister and I (we also walked to the theater) to see The House of Wax. Soooo scary to me at the time.

Well put together page but I’m definitely not into the zombie, living dead, monster type of movies. Never have been... What?? Godzilla would be so heartbroken. It all started with Frankenstein (and Dracula and King Kong) - Of course, I was not alive in 1931 haha. I had to make do with heavily edited showings of the movies until I was able to purchase the DVD's - With Frankenstein, the late night showings never started with the scene where Mary Shelley and her friends were writing horror stories as a way to pass the evening -- that's the way Frankenstein was 'born'. And, as far as I know, that part of the movie was factual - however, I don't think Frankenstein's Monster was real - at least I hope not. What's amazing is watching these movies today. King Kong was stop action and you can tell, but really - it's a cinematic masterpiece for its time. 1933. "Oh, no, it wasn't the airplanes. It was Beauty killed the Beast."
