I decided last night that today I was going to add something to this fun challenge. Seeing @pontiac's juniper image in the weekly challenge I was immediately drawn to the beautiful color palette. I began with using the colors to make a gradient. I then decided to ask Clive for permission to use his image to create a background for this page. I couldn't seem to find an image of mine that worked with the colors that I was drawn to and in the end had to tweak the colors to make something work.

I love the colours of your gradient Helen. It really sets the flower off so well and the whole piece really sings. I think this is also a great example of a collaboration between two of our members resulting in a fabulous page.

Beautiful, colours and images work well together. How do you choose the gradient colours?

jackscrap.... To create the gradient I took a screenshot of Clive's image. Then in photoshop I used the eyedropper and chose a blue from the berry for the foreground color swatch and a green for the background swatch.

Helen - excellent composition. Using a photo for a background can be so effective when creating a layout.

I agree with Janice...an excellent composition Helen. I love tomatoes unfortunately now they don't love me so much so I have to ration myself...sigh!
