Black-billed Magpie is a corvid (vs covid) and related to crows, jackdaws, ravens, jays and more. They are confined to western North America. These are normally black and white birds. Today, the weak, late-day sun was "just so" and showed off its hidden colors. I lightened the darks and toned down the whites in this photo, but did nothing to enhance the colors...just a lucky aspect to the sun and its tail was slightly fanned.
