An update notice popped up when I opened PSE 2021 this morning and I selected the "Update on close" which it did. This evening, it has frozen three times and this crash report appeared. Submitted report. All three crashes were when using the crop tool. Not experienced any freezes with PSE 2021 prior to the update. Suggestions welcome. Thanks.  |

PSE 2021 updated itself last night on exit, with my permission. It took about 10 minutes. The update seems successful. I did a few tries with the crop tool after the update. No problems occured.

I use the crop tool a lot for resizing for FB, so will keep trying. Maybe it will never happen again! Crashed three times last night, but perhaps I should have shut down and restarted last night after the crashes.

Clive, I installed this update on two copies of PSE 2021 (both computers running Windows 10 Pro). I have been testing both copies -- no freezing, no crashing. I specifically tested the Crop tool. No problem!!! If the Crop tool "misbehaves" again, I would suggest trying the usual troubleshooting -- reset this tool, delete the Preferences file, run PSE 2021 as administrator -- to see if one of these will take care of the problem. If PSE 2021 keeps crashing, check the Events Log. It may help us figure out what is causing all this freezing/crashing. |

Thanks Sepiana It happened again, so I reset preferences and tried again and it was okay. But I'll use it again this evening and see what happens. Will try what you suggested if need be. Clive |

Anyway after successfully using the cropping tool a couple of times after the crashed 3 days ago, it just froze and crashed again. I'll post it on the Adobe Community.  |
