Hi everyone, I thought I would share this tutorial by Blake Rudis with you all. According to his e-mail, . . . How to Make a Blender Brush

I received this email from Blake today as well. I watched the video and downloaded his brushes. I tried the brushes on this image. I tend to have a light hand when editing but hope you can notice where they were used on the jacket of the driver, the horses and the trees in the background. Original edit Using Blake's brushes

Does this work on PS Elements or should I save myself the trouble?

Berie, I don't know if you have the fill feature in PE......but you could just reduce the opacity of the Linear Light brush. I just quickly tried it on the same image that I posted above and the effect was similar. It is a nice way to selectively lighten parts of your image.
Or you could just reduce the opacitiy of the linear light layer.......

Does this work on PS Elements or should I save myself the trouble? Hi Berie, Blake's brushes work just fine in Elements. There is no Fill option but you can reduce the Opacity of the Linear Light layer or of the brush itself. Also, depending on the nature of your project, you can adjust the brush Fade setting. According to the Help file, Fade "sets the number of steps until the paint flow fades to nothing". About brush options

Thanks, Tom. I always find it helpful to see examples as well. It's a nice, simple technique.
