Looking for help on how to extract text ( EXACT fonts) & graphics from a wedding invitation so that it can be printed onto metal. Below shows what I am trying to accomplish. Thanks in advance for any help that is offered

Hi jkme3, welcome to PSE&M! At first glance, I'm inclined to suggest using the Quick Selection tool or the Magic Wand tool, or a combination of these two tools. You could try extracting the text/graphics. Or you could try deleting the black background. BTW, which version of Elements do you use? Are you on a PC or on a Mac?

jkme3, I thought of another possibility. However, I'm not sure how effective it will be in this kind of project. You could try doing a color inversion. It will give you a black text/graphics on a white background. 1. Duplicate the background layer. 2. Ctrl-I (Cmmd-I on a Mac) to invert the colors.

I am no expert but I think it will be very hard to get a print of the quality that would be needed to send to the printer from an extraction. I think I may have found the font that was used but it is costly to purchase.

This might be off base. Have you checked with the company that will make the metal plaque to see what file format they want? They might work with vector files. I know nothing about this stuff, other than a sign maker who did some work for me years ago had to create vector images from my jpg or psd files. Clive
