Hi Guys
Pretty basic problem here. I've been using PSE9 for a while but something has always bugged me. The selector tool (arrow) and the zoom tool will both show three different icons when selected. As they are already so small, I have trouble getting the right one of the three where I want it to be. Is there some way to change this? or is this just the way it is?
Thanks a bunch in advance HwyHobo48

Hi HwyHobo48, welcome to PSE&M!
I am not sure I understand what you are describing. Are you by any chance talking about the cursor when you activate the Zoom tool or the Shape Selection tool (arrow icon)? Does the cursor look distorted? Does it look like it is a "three-head" cursor?
And one more question -- Are you using Windows Vista, 7, or 8/8.1?

Hi Thanks for the reply.
When I select the Selector tool for instance, instead of an arrow or crosshar, it shows 3 small icons in a row. They're so small it's hard to tell just what they are but the third one looks like a + sign.

You didn't say which OS you have (Windows Vista, 7, 8, or 8.1) but, from the way you describe this problem, it looks like you are getting what is called a "three-head" cursor. Here is the scenario. When running on Windows 7, earlier versions of Elements will show a three-head cursor for some tools in the Editor. Just reduce the Windows text size to less than 150% (149% will do just fine). NOTE: I believe this problem also occurs with Windows Vista and Windows 8/8.1. As a side note -- The three-head cursor is no longer a problem. Beginning with Elements 10, Adobe has recoded this program so that it now abides by Microsoft user-interface standards which require applications to support text sizes larger than 100%.
