I am hoping someone recalls this and can tell me where to find the answer.
I often need to go back and change something within a text that I have created. My old way was to get the page the way I wanted it, and just save it, as is, to a .psd doc. No merging it down or flattening it or anything. Then I would duplicate the page as is and, under Layers, I would flatten it and save it as a .jpg. I know the printing company I use will accept .jpg but not .psd.
The problem is when I do it this way and need to go back to the .psd document because the text needs correction, I find it is not possible to edit Text.
Somewhere I think I read something about this having been changed but, at that time, could not take the time to print it out. Maybe it was about simplifying a layer??? I just don't recall.

Hello, Sepiana
Thank you so much for this information. I have printed it out so I will have it to refer to next time I am about to create text that I know will most likely need to be changed, I also got a copy of The Missing Manual for Photoshop Elements 13. I realize we are on Photoshop Elements 21 by now (or maybe 2120) but I have found that some of the things I have questions about are sort of basic and haven't changed. Am I right that The Missing Manual series has been discontinued, do you know?
Again, I appreciate your providing the information about Text.
Pat

Hi Pat, you are most welcome! Glad to be of help.
Yes, the Missing Manual series has been discontinued. The last edition is the one you have for Photoshop Elements 13. (I have it too.)
