Hi, Given that the ACR in Elements is a "watered down'" version of the full Photoshop version, despite adding Elements+ to the mix, would processing in the new Nikon NX Studio editing program be a viable alternative. I have just read the review in DPReview, they are quite impressed and compare it favourably to Lightroom. I have Nikon cameras so it would be a free download. I don't want minimal additional functions at the expense of making my workflow a nightmare.
PS My spelling is abysmal, any chance of adding a spell checker?

If it's anything like the original Capture NX2 developed by Nikon and Nik that went to Google and is now with DXO I would think it would be a very viable alternative but it all depends on what you want to do. If you want to replace the sky for example I suspect you won't be able to do that in NX Studio but you can in Elements. Back in the day I used both Capture and Elements - the first for basic photo processing and the second for going beyond the basics.
As for spell checker I have one that works here but it likely comes with the browser (I'm using MS Edge) and not with the forum.

Thank you.
Is there a manual or on-line tutorials available for NX Studio?
Exiting the forum for a spell check is a bind, is there any possibility of incorporating one into the forum? I use Windows 10 on a laptop.

When you use the spell checker built into your browser, the misspelled word will be displayed with a wavy red line underneath. Then, you right-click on it and select the correct spelling. Here is an example of using Chrome's spell checker.

I use Windows 10 on a laptop. Like Sepiana says your browser almost certainly has a spell checker that will highlight typos when making forum post. In Microsoft Edge you may need to turn it on like this: Right click and you'll see suggested words as well as other options just like the Chrome example Sepiana showed. Tony
